Vancouver Retailer Attributes Year-Over-Year (Double Digit) Sales Increases To More Strategic Marketing Efforts.

Tisol Pet Nutrition & Supply is an independently owned group with seven Lower Mainland locations. Over the past four years they have not only experienced impressive, year-over-year sales increases, they’ve also managed to open two more stores – despite having no plans to do so. Though on the surface this run of good fortune may seem unplanned, but it was anything but. Almost five years ago the owners (Henry & Brenda Kozub) decided to focus on the part of their business they did best, and relinquish the other areas – including marketing – to those that specialized in a particular area. As part of that plan, they initiated a relationship with Brandspank – a marketing firm specializing in the retail sector. And by all accounts, it has been a very successful relationship.

In a recent meeting, co-owner Henry Kozub ‘opened the books’ and divulged some extremely confidential information to Brandspank. He went on to say that "...since working with Brandspank (4.5 years ago) we have experienced some year-over-year sales increases that we’re very pleased with."

According to Henry Kozub, they attribute the lion's share of their success to the marketing efforts performed and provided by Brandspank. While he admits that the economy was extremely hot during time period in question, he indicated that it was equally as hot for the 3-4 years prior to working with Brandspank. As a result, he is quite certain that the real difference was the decision to collaborate with a retail marketing specialist. –

As impressive as the sales figures are, the really telling part of the Tisol story is that they had the trust and confidence to open their books and share their confidential information. This really IS a testament to the mutually respectful relationship that Brandspank has developed with many of their clients. This kind of relationship is what Brandspank strives for in any partnership with a client. As indicated on their website, "We believe building relationships is the most important part of building a brand."
